Morse code?
It doesn't have to be "you ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ piece of ♥♥♥♥, you ♥♥♥♥♥!"; it can be "you turd-faced twit, you little git!".
Bonus points if you encourage them to be eaten by a T-rex with Tom Goodman's voice.
edit: Matt Berry played the volcano actually
I’m still curious as to whether or not we are punishable for swearing or bypassing filters on our own profiles though.
Like, imagine someone who posts a complaint thread about Steam's VAC/Steam Guard/2FA/new chat UI/etc. that is basically a long chain of swearwords (and probably devoid of actual meaningful content too). That'll probably get the thread locked.
Profiles aren't even patrolled, so it'll more likely be used as a thing if someone specifically complains about harassment on their profile or something like that.
But since comments are reportable now, this means we could potentially be reported for swearing on our own profiles lmao
I doubt Valve would do anything about that unless we were posting some shady links though, given that it’s our own profiles.

Sure, some of the top words are filtered out, but it doesn't take a genius to replace those, you puckweasel.
And if you wanna get fancy:

But yeah, now that I think about it, the filtering of comments is just a minor inconvenience.
I didn’t like the whole blocking-to-hide-posts at first either but it’s become very useful recently.
I’m just hypothesizing though, no idea if that would happen.
maybe if less Steam users were asshats, this wouldn't have happened
Plus, we get to delete comments that we don’t like and block the people that we don’t like, so this seems redundant.
It's MY profile, I'm not scared of some goon coming to it and leaving insults just because I beat him at a game.
Steam is really dropping the ball nowadays. First the extra privacy settings that Europe demanded (fair enough on that one), then the Steamcord UI update, and now this ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥.
Ah Roblox, an endless source of memes and wit.
I think now is a good time to start asking Valve for more options when it comes to what is viewable to ourselves.
