Oculus VR Problem

anytime i start a game in steam i get a message telling me "Oculucs rift and rift_s only supported in native mode. please install Oculus VR software to use the Oculus hardware" so if anyone knows how to fix this problem please help

Did you download the Oculus software from their homepage, installed and updated everything and have the VR headset registered at Oculus?
You need to have the Oculus software running in the background or it will not work.

yes i have all that up and going and still get the error message

yes i can play all the oculus games just not steam vr games
