AMD 2020 Editon - Performance Advisor (Red Faction: Armageddon) Weird Stats Shown
I don't know where to put this, because I dunno
what Category to list this under...

Here is my Issue...

I honestly think my PC is just Dying, so I don't think there is anything I can do...
But do you guys think that this Info here is Correctly being Displayed?

It doesn't look right at all to me...

Image Shown Below (Along With Additional Info) All Drivers Up To Date...

I can list my In Game Stats for the Game, if it helps...

But I am not sure if I can get any Gameplay Footage...

I was just curious if anyone has seen anything like this being
reported in Performance Advisor before? Does it show correct Data,

& do you guys think the PC is just dying, or know any other ways
I can trouble shoot my PC?

How can you check Hardware Health?
The question is: Do you understand the data being displayed by AMD Radeon?
Do you know what the Frame Time and Frame Time by Percentile graphs mean?

Your GPU is getting hot and loud because the game has no framerate limiter inside the game menu. Your GPU can push as many frames as possible, it's not limited by the data stream from the CPU since there is almost no data being processed.

The Radeon Advisor suggests higher graphics settings because you hit an average of 135 FPS.
95 % of the time your FPS is higher than ~70 FPS (95% Percentile: 14 ms).

Limit your framerate in the menu by using Radeon Chill or Rivatuner and set the framerate limit to your monitor's refresh rate.

Actually, I never follow it, this is the first time i've actually noticed anything
up with it... I only brought it up, because I saw that it Recorded some Data,
I dun normally check it, though...

I thought the 135 FPS was a bit high for the Game, considering my Mouse
in Game is not Smooth, not fast in Menus, & in Games? I run fine, but there is
a Constant Studder, which I can't seem to explain... Possibly bad Optimizing?

I noticed the Frame Time is for MS % the 14 MS %, right?

I will try the whole Radeon Chill thing...

The Game can't be over heating my PC, due to No Frame Rate Limiter, though,
because it's happening in every Game, where as it was not before?

Unless this Game caused it, I am not sure...

Oh, you said no frame rate limiter? I will test something...

What I usually do, is have Radeon Chill be set so my Min is
my Monitor's Refresh Rate, or my PC, or whatever,
which is like 30 FPS or 60 FPS, but then I test to see where it maxes
out with FPS, & I round out the Max FPS to the nearest 5 or 10
below that so that I can get a Constant FPS Reading...

But I hadn't done that for Red Faction Armageddon, because I didn't know
if it would make a Difference...

Stutters mean inconsistent framepacing. Limit your frames to a value that you feel comfortable to play at.
You achieve 135 average FPS because RF:Armageddon does not include a framerate limiter inside its menu. You will have high FPS in the menu but low fps during gameplay. If you sit most of the time idle inside a menu, the data that AMD uses to suggest that you can increase the graphics fidelity, does not reflect the real situation.

I would just consider that feature useless and completely ignore it. I've had games with solid 60FPS saying it wasn't running correctly.

Are you using 4K???
GuRu Asaki (Banned) Jan 27, 2020 @ 3:29pm
Yes, i'm using 4K, why do you ask?

It just seems crazy that i'm getting 135FPS in a Game at 4K,
when my PC shouldn't even be able to run 4K at all... lOl...

Why do you ask if i'm using 4K?

I think my Anti-Lag & 8 Core CPU inside my TV
boosts my Performance in Games, & that is why i'm able to play them,
unlike how my 1080P Computer Monitors do not do that, & do not run well...

What your in-game screen resolution, also what your game settings? is it all set to low right? This just to give me better understanding.

Now I do recommend when viewing hardware usage, I recommend using MSI after burner with riva tuner, you don't need to touch the settings on the MSI for the GPU at all, you only need it to display hardware stats while in game, which I do recommend viewing usage for CPU, GPU, and RAM, then the TEMP for the CPU and GPU. Here a video that can help you set it up.

No, it does not.
The image will be upscaled to 4k, your graphics output will be 1080p. Maybe even 720p if you have performance problems on a 1080p monitor.

Please explain how a TV can improve your performance on an already rendered video signal. The TV simply receives a video stream it just needs to display. In that way, the less processing the better as that means less input lag, which leads to a better gaming experience.
What you wrote is total nonsense.
