Steam client is only partially signed in.

Steam client starts as normal with my account info in the top right, and i can access my games in library.

If i go to the store page it is as if i am not signed in, no wish list etc...If i go to store>wishlist i get a page that has my steam profile name but is empty.If i for example press the new years banner and then under the gifts press "sign in" i can sign in and if i do that it seam to work as normal (in the store) until i quit and restart steam, then it is back to me not being signed in in the store page.

If i go to my profilename to the right of community it says "Verifying login information..." and then returns an error that says "There was an error communicating with the Steam servers. Please try again later." there is a retry button but if i retry it just does the same thing again.If i go to profilename>profile it looks as i am visiting my profile page, i cant edit it.Profilename>friends i think looks normal as if i am signed in but maybe its cos it isn't much difference between signed in and not on this page.Profilename>groups looks normal as if i am signed in but maybe its cos it isn't much difference between signed in and not on this page.Profilename>inventory says "Profilename's inventory is currently private."

So basically it acts as if i am signed out everywhere except library. And if i can find a sign in button on any of the pages i can sign in and it works but it is only for that page and is temporary until i restart steam. On some pages i get the "Verifying login information..." thing.

This started maybe a week ago maybe more, or less don't know really.


Is there a solution or is the issue on there end?Is anyone else having this issues?

If i google the the "Verifying login information..." i get old stuff like 2015-2017. And i don't see much currently on r/steam so is probably not allot of people that have this issue.

Or is it someone who know what you have to press in steam support to get in contact with a living person?

Oky, it seems to be some kind of Connection issue, or an Update is
coming shortly, & it's delayed for a little bit...


Either it's your end, or steam...

Check your Internet Browser to see if you clear Cache & Cookies & such,
on Automatic...

You might want to change that...

Library seams fine all my games are there its like it is everywhere ells that i am signed out.

Have now tested to uninstall steam and reinstall it and it still remains.

I manually deleted the Web browser cache and the cookies and it didn't do any difference.
I tried opting in to the beta client and the issue remains. I opted out and went back to the old client and the issue remains.

I don't see a option for deleting cache or cookies automatically.

Solved it.

Started by installing steam on my mac laptop. Had the same issue there.

Disconnected my laptop from my home wi-fi and used my phone as hot spot. There it worked as it should. So i was about to call isp and ask if they had changed any thing.

But figured i would test to restart my router first. And after the router restart it worked on both my main computer and the laptop.

So now it works, don't really know what could have caused it. But i guess my router was blocking or ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ up something at least.
