The application has failed to start because its side-by-side configuration is incorrect. Please see the application event log or use the command-line sxstrace.exe tool for more detail."

This error pops up after installing latest Windows 8.1 security updates and after that trying to launch Steam client.

could you fix it ? I am having the same problem for bully scholarship edition I can't even run it.

You should try the game in compatibility settings for Windows 7 or even XP.

Hi guys, im having the same problem when trying to open Bully scholarship edition. Did you have any solution for this problem ? Cant seem to find one.
