CS:GO SDK not appearing in library
Hello guys,

as CS:GO went free to play some days ago, I thought it would be nice to get back into mapping as I also loved creating maps for CS:S many years ago.

The problem now is: Where do I find the CS:GO SDK?

I know it should be in the Tools list in Steam, but it simply is not there. I am running out of ideas.
Using the browser install prompt (via steam://install/745) is not working either and redirects me to the Steam Store Front Page instead.

Thanks in advance!

Do you have the free or paid version of CS:GO?

I have the free version of CS:GO (installed when you were able to only play vs Bots).
Could this make a problem? I thought the F2P release of CS:GO means there is nothing to "pay" anymore?

Perhaps the Prime Status Upgrade (which Steam says I already own) will unlock the SDK?

Sadly, it seems as if that feature is only available in the Prime Status Upgrade: https://steamdb.info/sub/54029/apps/
That's sad, because you'll need this if you want to use it for cs, as hammer on Portal/2 BMesa or Half Life 2 won't give you the ability to use special probs like terrorist spawns, bomb points, etc.

Only users who paid for the game or Prime can access the SDK. This was stated over a year ago in this very thread.
