Hello everyone,



Today I will teach you how to redeem the STEAM 3000 JPY Convenience store WEBMONEY card.

It is convoluted and an awful system. If you don't follow these EXACT steps IN ORDER you cannot redeem the code.



HOW TO CHECK THE BALANCE ON THE CARD:

1.) Go to: webmoney site: https://portal.webmoney.jp/card/spd.jsp?tmpl=balance

NOTE: DO NOT USE THE BACK BUTTON IF YOU INCORRECTLY PUT IN THE CODE. YOU HAVE TO CLOSE THE PAGE AND OPEN IT AGAIN OR YOU WILL GET AN ERROR.

2.) Enter the code in half-width characters (ie set your language to ENG in the language bar in windows).

3.) It should say you have 3000 JPY credit on this card if successful



HOW TO REDEEM THE CARD FOR STEAM MONEY:

1.) SET UR STEAM TO JAPANESE LANGUAGE. I dont know why, but English doesnt work. Also change your country of residence to Japan if asked.

2.) Go to this page: https://store.steampowered.com/steamaccount/addfunds

3.) Click "Add ¥ 500" (adding ANY other denomination will not work! ie 2500 JPY).

4.) Click "Add funds"

5.) Under " Please select a payment method " SELECT "Steam prepaid card" (DO NOT SELECT WEBMONEY, this is if ur physical card says "STEAM" on the front).

6.) Click "continue"

7.) Click "continue to Degica"

8.) Enter the code that is on the physical card (the one under the scratch off part).

9.) If entered correctly it will successfully add the 500 JPY.

10.) Repeat from step 2 again all the steps. This time though select 2500 JPY.

11.) You should have now redeemed 3000 JPY from the card.





I know its not helpful for some, but there is ZERO help in English for people who live in japan. And honestly SHAME on steam for not providing a guide (There is not even one in Japanese!). This is sooo convoluted. If you do any of these steps out of order it will just not work (ie load 2500 JPY then 500 JPY. Or the fact that 3000 is not included as a default set despite the code being sold in increments of 3000 jpy or 5000 jpy). By the way, if you buy 3 cards (like I did), you can only redeem 6,500 JPY before being blocked. Add the remaining a few hours later.

From the link posted above, you only have some options for redeem amounts such as 500 or 1500 yen.
But if you redeem from the Degica's website, you can actually type amount freely from 1 yen. (I know it's not translated into English either..)

I think this link is shown if you're using Steam from Japan or in Japanese language.

But for this a degica ccount is required, right? It doesn't just ask you to enter the wallet code but also an email address.

Did you charge from https://steamprepaidcard.degica.com/ ? You should check if you're entering the correct code. Try checking the balance from here: https://portal.webmoney.jp/card/spd.jsp?tmpl=balance
