Steam runs game, then stops after two seconds

When I open some games on my computer steam says, "Running" for about two seconds, then says "syncing" and closes the game. I have tried restarting my computer, verifying game integridy and cashe for those games, and turing off virus protection. I have not installed anything outside of steam recently. For example, Just Cause 4 and Middle Earth: Shadow of War have this issue. I did some research and have done almost all of the info I have found, but none have worked.

• What's your antivirus?
  
• Do these games run if executed from the executable directly?
  
• [Have these games worked previously? If so, any idea what might've changed since?
  
• Have you tried manually running said games' redistributable files under [Properties > Local Files > Browse Local Files] ?
  
• Are your videocard drivers up-to-date?

• I dont currently have a antivirus
  
• They dont run when executed directly
  
• Middle Earth worked before, but I uninstalled it and recently installed it again, after I re-installed it it didn't work. I don't know anything that might have changed this.
  
• I tried manually running it and it didn't work
  
• I think all my stuff was up-to-date last I checked
  
  Note: I have tried all the information is those guides you posted and none of them have worked. I appereciate you helping me though!

I did fix the problem, but it was a long time ago. If i remember correctly I either had to fix something with my current adobe flash, or I had to replace some file from my hard drive to a updated file. I also think I found the solution on some random reddit post from years ago but i don't remember.

Flash has change over time, so that can still effect games if devs did not change or update game.
and flash support is gone

what steam will do about is another matter, another thirdpart app need by some games.

to my knowledge its know as game crash doing startup, ( splash screen effect ) thats game intro loading screen. and it was learn by TW shogun2 , but they have fix it , things work there.
i just mention it because once was, and some game use Browser with flash so its a complicated issue depend on each game and how they use adobe flask or not.
and now you have old game maybe with game devs that dont fix old issue or abandon game support.

ask steam sugesstion could be a good idea , are they even aware of all old games left in this state, and yes its not a steam problem. but mybe they can fix it with another Adobe flash solutions. if they dont do it already through steam common Redistibutable files.

again you need a old game where games devs has left the building as we say.

im not support here , just a user like you, this is user forum.

and this threads is so old that system OS and Browsr flash support will could be debated.
and why steam should lock all old threads , this is a outdate topic where timeline on the subject is a issue.

and gl explan steam user's bult in some browser and support depend on what windows OS. and its other Browser that migh have it or not.

this already give headache just to even remember this.

if other helper have a say so please tell them. i bet this is not the last game with this, that might not work anymore.

Hey same problem here, I know the thread is a million year old but I need some help. I don't really understand the replies up here and I need some serious help. The game's Fallout 4 I just reinstalled it on my new pc and it just wont work. I'm not using any anti virus or adobe flash and I don't know how to run the game manually. please send help I'm probably dying.
