Automatic Game Updates not Downloading Automatically

I have my games set to stay updated, and I've never had a problem before. Now Steam will search for updates like it's supposed to, but I have to manually download each update. Did something change in the settings that I am not aware of? I'm signed up for Steam Beta Testing if that makes a difference.
