how to contact steam????

I have a code that says it is invalid.I already contacted the company where I purchased the code and were told to contact steam and find out what time and date the code was validated at steam. How can I contact steam for this information????

Valve won't give you that info and the company you purchased the key from knows that.

See if you can get the money back from that "company" that sold you the code and maybe try trusted resellers next time?

You purchased from a grey market reseller. Don't do that.

There's a way to get your money back... it's the same thing you'd do if your credit card was stolen and used.

The site itself does not ask, the reseller on said site does.

Seeing as you aren't naming the company in your post I think you know full well that they are known for shady behaviour like this and trying to avoid the responses about how well known they are for being untrustworthy.

Ask for a refund from that company or contact your bank and request they reverse the charge.

The onus in on the key seller to provide a code, not Steam, neither are Steam required to give information regarding the key.

If you are getting the error that the code is invalid then you are entering the code wrongly.

or,

The code has been used before but would be shown as already claimed.

Contact the seller.
