Internet shutting down during remote play
I've been trying to play steam remote play with some one and it worked just fine on the first day. But on the second day, after awhile it started to do this thing where it would work for a awhile, then suddenly I would get disconnected. My entire internet connection would shut down across the board, then after thirty seconds it would all come back online. If I rejoin the remote play it will work fine for awhile again, before shutting down but this time sooner then before. And if I wait awhile before rejoining, the period it goes before my internet blacks out will be longer.

It's extremely specific. My entire internet shuts down, all of it, then after around thirty seconds it all comes back online. And the longer I wait before trying to remote play again the longer it is able to go without shutting down. My bandwidth seems to be fine, and the internet connection itself is fine, it's specifically doing this in response to me trying to remote play. And I'm not even the one hosting it.

30 sec is know by tech people call poisen reversed, that mean many things but general rule is something crashed or dont work as it should and being shutdown terminated = poisen the line , so it can get up again , also just lost connection can cause this seen from a server point of view , a user hold a line but he is not there.

to fix that can be hard, require knowlege like , nic driver opdate to transfer and negociation speed , even simple as let strongest pc be master ( game sync best then master runs the game )
and what type of media both use , and media is not music its cable type and speed.
as i try to explan can be very hard to ID , but start with no bad packet between you and other player. atleast test it into the ISP on Both sides.

dont forget allow rules on antivirus app. steam.exe. and its game.exe. this is typical work firstday and then people reboot then you are in filter and its not have same right as first day install and run . ( i call first try run , always seem to work both not next reboot )

Rewritten the post to be most specific now.

Did you find a solution?

This thread was quite old before the recent post, so we're locking it to prevent confusion.
