Also, are you attempting to run all your games (that have this 'problem') on cranked-to-ultra settings? The usual 'fix' for that is .... reduce your settings until the game runs.
All other settings give the same performance, but reduce cost.
Did your problem start after a win 10 update? If win 10, disabled recording feature?
Rather the contrary.
I recommend removing it completely.
I think I disabled to recording feature of Win10, not sure though. And tbh, the issues started a couple of months ago, so its a possibillity it happened after a Win10 update but not neccesary. Also, on my laptop the games run fine. Laptop specs;
i7 7th Gen
1050ti
16GB of RAM
Where can I check temperature? Task manager?
Before this happened, I could play the witcher 3 on ultra with ease 100fps, but now barely reach 60fps. Stressed out for this. But CSGO can run up to 290fps.
Turned out the guys who fixed my PC last time forgot forgot to plug my water pump back in. Result of that was my CPU running without cooling for months.
I can now run games smooth again, is there any kind of software to check my CPU health?
I'd say, just keep an eye on it and occasionally run a temperature scan.
This is definitely why it's SUPER, SUPER important to *build your OWN computer* and not just dump it into the hands of others. When you have that personal hands-on, you do know what to look for :D
I'm very glad this issue was finally fixed, I cannot imagine the damage that would have eventually been done to the components if you hadn't discovered this. :(
