It's not malicious, but it's not very reliable either.
You can try the alternative option. Search for gamedebate but beware you need to know your PC specifications exactly to check what ever the game you're looking for can be handled. But on contrary of systemrequirementslab you won't need to instal the website plugin.

Do google search, and you might find videos with people using similar Hardware as you.

Example.
" CPU name " "GPU name" " Game name"
i5 6600k GTX 1080 Skyrim

The site isn't the best for info, if game will be playable, or not.

It's good for a very broad-strokes overview of what your computer might or might not be able to run. It's a starting point, honestly. But the best thing to do is learn what your computer is made of and understand how those pieces work, so when you look at system requirements you aren't left confused.
