region lock?

Just bought a couple of EU steam keys for resident evil 6 for me and a friend. Only options i found was the EU version, but after reading some posts thought it was no big deal. Now I get the message "Not Valid in your Region". I was under the impression that EU/NA didn't matter?

Well assuming you bought a legitimate key, from a legitimate source and you really have no idea how it could be not working, that would be an issue for Steam support. All we can do is guess that maybe you got ripped off, bought a bogus key, or the key wasn't really from the EU region. You wouldn't care to elaborate how/where you procured the keys in question would you?

alot of 3rd party key sellers are not legitimate, either saying the key is something its not or giving you a fake or already used key anyways..

care to share where you bought this key?

EU =/= NA.. use a vpn to activate

I ended up finding some NA keys to buy. So in case anyone was wondering, RE6 is region locked. I bought the keys from CJS or whatever. I'm sure the keys are legit, but Steam has the region locked on this game for whatever reason.

Not advised as its a violation of the SSA and can lead to serious consequences beyond just having the game taken away.
