Personal Steam Account on Public Computers
My friend and I are going to a public computer shop to play games like the good ol' times, preferably csgo, payday 2 and maybe l4d2 for the elementary school nostalgia.
My concern is that our accounts might get VAC banned after launching games due to sketchy running processes, I heard about this from a 4-comment reddit discussion, there are computers that doesn't let us open task managers or open cmd and download files, we don't know if the shop allows any of those.

TL;DR:

How safe is Steam's Two-Factor Authentication?
Any tips about logging onto public computers?

avoid using public computers to play games. VAC bans are issued when an account accesses a vac server from a computer that has known cheats on it. doesnt matter if you are actively using the cheat, your account will be at risk of a ban.

if you want to play on public computers, stick to single player games. you have no idea what is on a public computer. it only takes 1 person smart enough to get past the shops security settings to wreck your account.

Talk to the PC shop about securing their own devices from the ability to to use cheats on their PCs.
