No such option exists within Steam or via the shortcuts it creates.

Why do you need it.

I have ALWAYS been able to run steam games as Admin.... what the ♥♥♥♥ are you talking about doesn't exist.. And because some programs require me to use them in Admin or they don't work properly. specifically for updates on games such as Warframe.
If you need it in contrast to others,
find the exe of the game and run it as admin

Is there really no easier way than going from the .exe in the folder ?
You would need to set each game exe to run as admin via editing the properties of each game exe. Steam has never had that option built into the client as far as i know other then it can pop up and tell you that you are running a game in administrator mode.
How did you do it in the past?

So you have never in existence been able to right click the icon on a desktop and have the option "Run as Admin" there ? Really ? Thats a shock considering I was able to do it 3 weeks ago.

Right clicking the desktop icon. It doesnt even let me choose a "run" option, Only "open"
Create your own shortcuts.
Steams are url files

I used to be able to use the ones Steam created. Also why do my desktop icons suddenly have little green checkmarks ? is that somehow related to Steam or is that Windows?
Url files can not be run as admin.

Why on earth would it give you a "Run" option? Shortcuts dont have run options. They do have "Open" though.

Normal shortcuts that point to an exe have the features for the exe.
Url "shortcuts" just instruct to open..... a url

The default "shortcuts" steam creates are URL shortcuts.

My shortcuts had always had "run" options ? Until now that is. I had always used the shortcuts Steam gave me to run my games before, I got my laptop back from repairs at the manufacturer after 3 weeks and I suddenly wasnt able to... They also didnt reinstall some things that are supposed to be on the PC but that is besides the point.
