For some other games a controller is better though
On pad you're restricted to maximum of 2 speeds when aiming. Slower or fast/normal. Changing sensitivty setting still leaves you with 2 speeds.
Mouse you can be as slow or as fast as you want or need. mouse games use a softlock/auto aim for consoles fps to help controller use.
Other aiming disadvantage taking your thumb of the thumbstick to press one of 4 buttons means you can't aim and look around. On Mouse you can still aim while clicking other mouse buttons or keyboard buttons.
Same applies for left stick. On a controller you stop moving when you want to use the other 4 buttons near your thumb.
Thre are other reasons but those are the main onesfor me. Why I never play fps or third person shooters on consoles......least not the online components.
