PowerA Switch Wireless GameCube Controller
Trying to get mine to connect via Bluetooth. Laptop picks it up but Steam does not when trying to register controller. Am in Beta mode as well.

It's gonna sound dumb. But have you restarted. I had the same issue.

If yes make sure you enable "switch pro configuration support". I got 2 working right now.
