hi 26. Dez. 2018 um 13:25
Have a gorillion Game keys i need to activate
I have a ton of game keys from the humblebundle that i need to activate
i did a couple but now i get the message
'' Too many activation attempts '' whenever i enter a (correct) Game key under the 'Activate a product on Steam' page

Any way to circle around this locking mechanism? I got a bunch to go, CBA waiting 1 hour + every few game keys i enter (correctly)

Wait an hour. Not a second less.

Bypassing would result in abuse.

I have a tone of humble bundle game keys too from months of monthly bundles. Not sure why you "need" to activate them all at once. There's probably not a way to circumvent the limits, they're there for a reason after all.

Yep, time to take a chill pill for an hour since the more you input those keys, you will be waiting much longer for your cooldown period to expire.

No, Valve has that restriction in place for a reason.

Only if you don't understand why there's a limit and assume it's silly.

I just wish steam clarified what those reasons are, I mean if i were to enter incorrect game-codes constantly i'd completely get why i'd get locked out(trying to fish for game keys) But i'm entering correct ones.. Hence the confusion.
To stop users from trying to use key gens.

Yeah that'd make sense.. if i'd put them in incorrectly.. but all my codes were successfull

Does not matter, regardless, you will eventually reach the threshold.
Every code, redeemed or not is 1 attempt each.

You say that, but read the forums for a couple of days where half the questions are things Steam is very clear about that people could find out in less than ten seconds or are warnings and information they just flat out ignored when it was right on their screen. And then they spend however long dinking around on the forums having that explained to them. Or they just start ranting and raving how Steam sucks because it has rules they didn't care about until it was some kind of impediment at that moment.

I wouldn't of been here if the support page would of clarified Why, Its not there go have a look if you beg to differ.
I'm alright with that.

Maybe you do read every page of content you see. So in this one case Steam could have put all the information about the rules and policies and limits on it. I'm not willing to be my life on that being the case though.
