Investing in Steam Gems
Was looking at the price of sacks of steam gems (1000) and they are at a very low price of around 28 cents. I think this is the lowest price from what I can see. There was also a huge spike from around December 1- December 12 where they were hitting nearly $5. Anyone know what that spike was about? Or ideas on investing in the sacks of gems now. Will they go back up?

The price for gems tends to drop in the long run. The current event accelerates this trend a lot of course, and a certain amount of recovery is possible. I would not expect the gem price to rise above 35-40 cents before the summer event when the next huge wave of transformed items is to come. So yes, if you buy now, around may to july you might actually make a bit of profit if you are lucky. Would not guarantee it and I doubt, it's worth it.
