Gift Card Invalid

Steam says my gift card code is invalid despite the fact that every time I've typed it in, it's been correct. Dashes, letters, numbers, everything. I've even had to wait an hour due to it locking me out, and I fear it's about to do it again. Is anyone else having this issue? Does anyone have a fix?

I also have this problem and summited a ticket yesterday. Probably have to wait till after xmas to get resolved. Wtf steam? And no phone numbers? And why isn't there an invalid card number help section. Had to use the damaged card help section. I have two gift cards I tried to redeem, one went through fine but the other says invalid. Even had others varify the digits and they are all correct. There aren't even any o's or i' to get confused. Is steam selling bogus cards?

this might be a stretch but cheack if it is a gift card or a card for a game at best buy you can by wallet code but there are also codes for spisific games to buy items in if you have one of those codes redeem in in the bottom left were itt was add a game then click activate a product then type your code in there

Mine is a standard steam card. Also, it has been 48hrs since i submitted my ticket and not a single response.

Every code goes into the card redemption box. The ones with game images on are just the same, only that they show a game that they suggest you may want to buy,

If you bought it from the shop, perhaps the cashier forgot to scan it properly. Steam wallet vouchers, redemption cards, gift cards all need to be scanned to activate them so the card actually works. So perhaps they just made a mistake. Go back and ask them and they might be able to help you out...

If not, the code could have been stolen but i find that unlikely....

again if not... go to steam support and explain to them what the issue is.

I have the receipt from the store and it verifies that my card was scanned and activated by the cashier using the last 6 digits of the barcode serial number. This was from a convenience store, so I'm pretty sure they are going to be clueless and stubborn when it comes to fixing this anyway. I have submitted my support ticket with a photo of the card, so I consider that it's up to STEAM to fix this. I hope they can do so in a timely fashion.
A word of advice: if you ever buy STEAM gift cards for people, make sure you give them the store receipt too in case something like this happens.

well the last thing i can ell you is just waut i recently scrathed of the code for my gift card and steam support hassnt responded yet they might take a few days scince its the hollodays so the amount of peaple waiting for a responde is higher then normal

STEAM was able to reslove the problem with my card and now everything is good! There were 2 missing digits at the end of the code. Thank you STEAM.
