Game stuck in the discovery queue
Hello, I wonder if anyone can help me. I have a game stuck in my discovery queue and new releases for several months. I marked as ignore and has a catagory I have set my lifters to exclude but its staying in my queue, so I cannot complete my queue for cards etc. The game is X-Morph: Defense demo.

I have tried moving the catagority (Shooter) it was flagging as filtered out (still shows that its a type I am not interested in when it appears). I have tiried removing the ignore and reapplying it.

Its beening happening through several steam updates and machine reboots.

Any idea's on how to fix it?

Change your preferences to allow it to be shown to you.

Get past the game in your queue.

Change your preferences back.

That's why i use the Steam DB extension.

There's really no reason to go through the manual pain.

Tried that, It was orginally one of the onces steam show you and ignore your preferances in case your tasts have changed. It stuch as the last one in my quene on both. I see it every time, If I hit next etc. it basically takes back to queue selecttion page. it appears there, stops me generating a new queue and is the only item in he queue.

Oh my ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ god i found the solution.
Go to "Store" (main page of steam)
Top right searchbox type
"X-Morph: Defense"
Press enter or the magnifing glass on the right
A list appears with the base game some dlc and the important part, THE DEMO (think second from bottom)
If you look at the thumbnail picture on the left side of the list of the base game demo there is a tiny downward double arrow on it. (it might only appears if you hover youre mouse over the picture)
Carefully click on it and 3 option appear.
-Preferences
-Ignore
-Whislist
Obviously you click ignore
(i assume the base game already on ignore at this point and only DLCs that are not on ignore)
It WILL actually be ignored this time and never stop youre qeuee ever again.

(thanks to random sources I found over maybe the years lol while trying to get rid of this ♥♥♥♥,
Some of the sources mentioned localization re-routes, mentioned the source code referes to the demo, but the main game is showned on steam, which means you cannot ignore the demo and cause the queue to stop due to this error, and this page ofcourse that helped me find the preferences extended option screen which had a hiden information in a small i circle icon at the end of a textbox that told that you can chose ignore trough that small icon on a game picture.)

Thanks! Fixed it for me too; been bugging me on and off for a year when the "Solasta" demo would appear and clog up my queue. I'd hit 'ignore' but I assume it was only ignoring the main game and not the demo.

Apparently the demo was removed or something, so I'm guessing that's why it was broken for me. :/

Had to issue an award for this post, as it should be pinned at the top of the "Helps & Tips" section, with some people needlessly having gone years without the use of their discovery queue.

Most other posts I've read, on the issue of demos clogging up your discovery queue, suggest you either download and uninstall the demo, or cancel on confirmation. It just so happened, however, that the first time I encountered this problem, I already owned the game for which the demo was intended, leaving me no such option.

Fearing the worst, having read of countless others dealing with a stuck queue for years, I stumbled upon this post. Thankfully, I were immediately able to sort the problem, by using csatrad's workaround, where you search for the original game title in the store browser, and then, in the results, hover/roll over the listed demo with your mouse cursor and select the option to ignore it, in the drop-down menu that appears (double-arrow button).

Much obliged.
