Debit card shopping from Bangladesh

I joined steam 12 days ago and still quite new to this platform. I wanted to know can I purchase using any credit or debit card that has visa or mastercard logo or does the card has to have specifically international written eligibility as well as visa or masercard logo.

Does it need to have international in it as well? I'm asking this because the local bank gives two options local and international but both of them has the visa and mastercard logo.

It dont state anything on my cards if its international, normally mastercard and visa are accepted global..

But steam takes payment in dollars and my local currency is taka how will steam accept my payment?

Normally your bank converts the local money to dollars, make sure you use a site to convert the local money to USD to ensure no issues.

For example, go into google search and input “taka to usd” and a converter shall show up where you can make what ever the amount you want to convert to USD from taka.

I think I will do so mine one is a dual currency VISA card with no endorsement done so it holds BDT currently

You need to endorse USD in your dual currency card (debit or credit) for any foreign transection. But some Banks in Bangladesh blocked Steam. For example: EBL. You can't made payment using any EBL card.. It doesn't matter whether they are master or visa card with dual currency enabled. Master, visa, or amex card from other banks that didn't block steam should work fine. I use my dual currency enabled debit card for steam payment. it works fine without issues.
