Can i buy DLC for a game i got through game sharing?

I want to get a fallout NV DLC but i only have Fallout NV through game sharing. will the DLC work?

you can use other people's dlc. my friend tried payday 2 using game share and because i had ultimate edition he got all of my dlc. same with that friend's ddlc fan pack. i now have an entire file of fan stuff for a game i played once because it was free (good story, just im tight on money, and i'd have no use for any of the content)

dude, i've shared dlc before. i was using someone's copy of DS3 with gamesharing, they disabled it, then i used someone else's copy of DS3 and it said that because i didnt have certain dlc i'd have to restart. i dont understand how re-reading an article will change how i watched the light die from my eyes as i saw that i couldnt re-use my character from his DS3 due to not having the dlc

If the other party has the base + DLC while you do not own either, you can play the full set but once you own the base, then you would not have access to the DLC.
