Steam Loal Multiplayer games + Smartphone as controller
I have been searching for a way to use smartphone to play games with my friends at my place. I know there are some steam games that have special app to use in smartphone but most of the are poorly made.( sort of like Airconsole.com games)
I also know that there are controller emulator apps for iOS & Windows (e.g ugamepad) where you can use your phone as a Xbox controller but they don't support multiple controller connections.
I don't want to spend for controllers because some times as many as 6 people want to play.

My question is, has anybody done this sort of thing? Is it possible?

Well it seems like you've done a fair bit of searching, and I imagine if there was a good solution it would be fairly popular well/known.

I think you have a niche problem as most people playing PC games really aren't looking to use their phone as a controller. So it's not surprising that there's limited solutions and functionality. I wish you luck though.

And if you really want to play local multiplayer games with your friends enough, you might be able to see your way clear to spend $20 to do it... https://www.amazon.com/s/ref=nb_sb_noss_2?url=search-alias%3Daps&field-keywords=PC+gamepad

At a certain point spending a little bit of money is a more cost effective solution than the time and effort of jumping through hoops trying to force a second rate free solution. But it's up to you to decide when to draw the line there.

Thanks for the link. I thought that what I wanted to do is a bit too far fetched.
I went ahead and bought 4 used ps3 controllers and am now trying to connect them and see if they work.
Thanks
