Trading cards not dropping

I have played Arkham Origins for 31 hours and Life is Strange for 10 hours but not a single card has dropped. It says 9 cards remaining.
I wonder if you have to purchase the game directly to get trading cards, because both games were gifted to me from a friend.
Anyone know how to solve this? Thank you

Getting a game gifted is no problem.
You do have a limited account which means not all features, including trading card drops, are not available to you.
