If you got a warning and had your name and profile forcibly changed then it means your name and profile broke Steams rules. As far as Steam is concerned the matter is resolved and all that needs to happen is for you to read the rules and follow them to prevent it happening again.

Looks like you got hijacked and your profile made private . Unprivate your profile

Where did you get the 'warning'

Caution, your account has been hijacked. All trades will be forwarded to a bot fake account. Do not trade or you will lose your items.
The warning and profile change were not done by Steam.

You entered your account data into a third party website, knowingly or not, and now they are in your account.

Do the following in short order:
Scan your computer for malware
Deauthorise all other devices
Change your password and email adress
Revoke your API key

Make sure to do all these steps, as only then you will be able to lock the hijacker out.

It looks like scammers have moved to making the profile private to hide the “message” on their profiles to make the scam work.

Steam support won’t private a profile if it violates the rules

Not necessary. As I said, the changes on your profile were not done by Valve/Steam and are in no way official. So their answer will not change things in any way. Better get rid of the thing, that lurks on your account as quickly as possible.
It is a well-known pattern during the last months, regular users around here will recognise it. The "trade now, you will be trade-banned soon" part is something, Steam would not do.

If you want to be safe in the future, do not log into websites directly with your Steam data. Instead log into Steam in your browser. Every legitimate site will carry over this login and only ask you to confirm. Every site, that still asks for your name and password is a scam.

P.S.: Feel free to change your name and avatar back once that's done.

NO!

Your account has been hijacked.

Follow ALL of the instructions above and immediately change your password.

This is one of the many 'scam scare tactics' that hijackers resort to.

i really appreciate your answer man but the steps you ask me to do its risky because a steam mod said to me to never turn off my mobile guard and you ask me "Deauthorise all other devices i think i must wait for steam admin to reply because im rly scared for my steam you may you don't know what this steam represent to me man btw thank for your help

Note deauthorizing SteamGuard devices doesn’t disable SteamGuard. It Simply triggers other steam client to reauthorize itself upon next login. It basically is “uncheck remember me” remotely

Normal users don’t need SteamAPI keys and if you have one it means the attack created it as part of the scam. Remove the SteamAPI key

Someone is on your account.
That is risky.

Read and understand the steps.
