Dead End? Modern Warfare 3 no key activation.
So my friend just gave me his physical copy of CODMW3 which he says he has never played before( I can confirm as I'm the one that introduced him to PC gaming). He said he has always had it but never activated the game and isn't interested in COD. So when i got home I proceeded to install the game but was prompted for a CD key, there is no manual inside and nothing on the cover but the game has never been used, so i wanna know if there is a way I can activate it or if this is just a dead end? can anyone help?

He said he got it a few years back from a local store that was closing down but that he saw no manual or anything that resembled a code.
