As intuitive as it is, you'd want to automate games with eligible card drops.
thats one thing , but for some users like me , theres just so many games that can drop cards , i dont idle any right now , tried it a bit a while ago , if i idle them its as good as if i left them running for 2-3 hours and then closed them again
If you don't even know what card drops are - you shouldn't be using an Idler program.
Besides that, if you're farming game hours, Idle Master of ASF isn't recommended for you.
I'm still on the fence as to what exactly you're using Idle Master for...
The other option is to just get another game with cards entirely, and that game would give you half of its set of cards for free.
Idle Master dos not functionally increase your Steam Level.
Let's go over the basics of trading cards and Steam levels.
1) Steam levels are based on XP and ONLY XP.
2) XP is gained by crafting badges or gaining badges through other tasks.
3) Crafting a badge using trading cards is the most common way to gain XP.
4) Accumulated play-time, achievements and what not; do not increase XP.
As for Idle Master, once all your eligible card drops have been exhausted, you simple don't need Idle Master at that point in time.
You'll need to focus on purchasing the missing cards on the community market and then crafting a badge.
This, will increase your Steam Level.
You'll see a lot more information here...

Because we spend time on Steam playing games and earning cards legitimately therefore increasing our levels.
i honestly admit , i just buy tons of cheap card sets of the steam community market , first i find the cheapest set with the lowest ( 4-5 ) number of cards on steam card exchange
click steam market for it which takes me to a site like this one
https://steamcommunity.com/market/search?appid=753&category_753_Game%5B%5D=tag_app_546490
all cards are just 4 cents , and even the foil cards are rather cheap
craft 5 normal badges , and you get 500 XP idk how much xp you need to level up , theres a level xp list somewhere
