can i have all my game save data go to a specific folder ?

I wanted to know if it is possiable to have all my game saves and profiles put into a single folder, currently it is all going to my documents folders and getting mixed with all the other stuff.

A My games folder was created on it but not all games saves are going into it, and if i try to move the games into a my games folder i lose the save on the game.

Also not all games saves are going to either My games or documents folder.

Is there a way to change this or is it set like this ?

Not without using something like mlinks. Where saves go are determined by the devs. MS tried to sort of unify it with /my documents/my games/, but as you can see it's a jumbled mess.

It's really best to leave it alone.

Where game saves are stored, is totally up to the game developer.

Some you can change by changing configurations or registery edits or symbolic links. If you just want an easy way to backup these kind of saves, use a savegame manager (first result in google).

If you want to do this manually, you have to find out for each game how to change the default savegame location, as there isn't a 1-solution-to-fix-it-all I can give you. If all developers would decide to use steam cloud or store everthing in my docs/gamesaves/, things would be a lot easier.
