Steam friends list bugged, cant host or connect to games with friends

Hello, today my steam client bugged out harshly - although i was playing Total War Warhammer 2 with a friend last night, today it says it fails to connect / fails to host.

I restarted steam and now my saved friends disappeared from the top of my friends list. The friends list are also no longer displaying what game my in-game friends are currently playing - the game icon reads "N/A" and the text under their names read "Online" with green text instead of blue.

Steam has some problems with servers i guess cuz same thing happens to me and also cant see my hours played on any game.
