Banned for having ecchi as pfp

Okay, to start of, im aware that porn in general is bannable in steam. I put ecchi as my pfp, and i return to see my account getting banned for a month. I won't put in much, but one thing i should note is that : How was i banned for having ecchi as my pfp? For thoe of you who were wondering how my pfp looked like, it's a picture of an anime girl from her upper midriff to her head with her nipples erased with MS Paint.

2. did the steam moderator who threw the ban hammer explicitly said you were banned for a month for the 'lewd picture' ?

to be safe, use steam-issued background pictures (available as crafted/traded/bought from steam market) as your profile picture.

Steam support might still act on avatars that are borderlines nudity. Just because you erased the nipples with paint it just isn't enough.

Next time how about you just use anything else than naked girls?

All i got was that i was pfp banned for a month. but my biggest question is : is ecchi considered as porn? In my eyes, They aren't. That's why i bring this topic up

Ecchi. Is it porn? No. Is it explicit? Maybe. But if thats a rule, 99% of anime are banned everywhere. It's a matter of common sense with depiction of these kind of things in an animation world. To agree or to disagree, You got to admit that anime in general is filled to the brim with fanservice and lewdies. But ultimately, Ecchi is never synonymous to porn. That's why i felt unjustified regardless.

And finally, I am not complaining. I am questioning if ecchi is bannable. Because If thats the case, and in my logic, We wont even see any of the ecchi games that's being released in steam currently. Hell, Wasn't the latest news told that steam has released their first uncensored hentai game? So why was i banned for having ecchi? It's not porn, is it? Explanations are greatly appreciated

Fine. I'll drop this discussion. I will accept the fact i get banned for having ecchi, But i will never let go of the fact that ecchi is never porn. Sure, it's NSFW. And so are girls wearing only bikini, which i believe makes up lots of the people around here. Apparently pfps with females having bikini on and being almost nude is legal while anime girls having bikini on and being almost nude is illegal.

(edit) : I forgot to add in the sideboob factor, underboob factor, etc etc. Which I have seen a startling lot of times and for some reasons those are legal.

Games are behind age gates and devs still have limits on how much they can show in the store page and other public areas.
