The windows 10 DVD player thing expired, and I dont want to pay for softwares when there might be a free one. Is there any recommendations?

Why not just use VLC?

VLC media player. It's better than anything packaged with Windows anyway.

VLC is the best media player you can get, just make sure you get it from the official site. A lot of the other ones have malware and bloatware along with them.

PotPlayer is the best. I used to use VLC but then I heard about PotPlayer. It's loads better.

What? I always thought you could just pop a dvd in your pc and play it?

I just pulled my bin of dvd's out, it's been a while. Right ontop I have movies like Jennifer's body, Sunshine and Copycat. Diggin' down deeper I found Dawn of the Dead original...whoa!

Download VLC from their website, I recommending very much doing that.
The one from the Microsoft Store doesn’t work very well.

Thank you all this is greatly appreciated!
also, look at microsoft store for free promo of otherwise paid media players. if you get lucky, you may grab one during a promo period.

i use vlc, mediaplayer classic, and other free promo 'paid softwares'.

VLC!!!
Used for years and before WINXP even.
Works fine and cost nothing.
I love kicking MSoft in the behind when I can.
VLC is the best in my opinion.
