How many followers does a curator need to have, to receive curator connect offers?
I run a curator feed to record my personal opinions on games (particularly when I'm too lazy to write a full review), and at some point a while back, a developer wanted to send my curation list a game through the Curator Connect system, but reported that he was unable to do so.

My personal curator feed has a relatively small audience -- it's (currently) followed mainly just by people I know on Steam, and I think it had 14 followers back then. (I'm fine with a small audience, and -- while others are free to join -- expanding its audience is not my objective.)

So is it the case that you can't receive Curator Connect offers if your feed has too few followers?

I wanna know this so I know whether I should bother to leave a statement up on my group page with regards to Curator Connect offers.

The amount of followers is only regarded as a number but in order to attract a developer or publisher to your curator is based on how well you have presented the group and that could possibly round off to the genres of games you're willing to commit to plus the level of constructive critcism you have against any game, either good or bad.

Even if you decide to cover all genres, to keep the developers on their feet, best to explain that you love any type of game or all games.

I get that, but I think you may be misunderstanding the purpose of this curation feed. It's simply to share my personal opinions on games, rather than something I care to make "go big" or otherwise get a sizeable audience. I do not plan on writing up reviews on any regular basis, but simply want to do this as a leisurely hobby, as I play through games. Correspondingly, I'm also not looking to attract developers/publishers. (My backlog is already big enough!)

The reason the situation I mentioned in the OP came up, is because I also happen to help run another curator feed, one that's a lot bigger, but has a rather specific focus. I got a Curator Connect offer from one developer whose game I actually had on my wishlist, but does not fit that larger curator feed. I offered to review the game and post the my opinion to my smaller feed, and he agreed, but he told me he couldn't send his game through Curator Connect to my smaller feed. Eventually he just e-mailed me a key, and I played the game and reviewed it and posted my review.

I used to say that I am not currently accepting Curator Connect offers, absent some sort of agreement beforehand. I'm just wondering whether I need to leave some sort of message like this, or whether by virtue of having a small audience I'm already prevented from getting Curator Connect offers -- and if so, when does this "shield" run out?

Well enabling curator is the group owners option really.

On another note, there is an option to reject the offers if you wish and carry on with the usual tasks as you mentioned regarding simple reviews about the game/s in general.

True, but I just prefer to have a clear notification posted indicating what I'm doing with it, rather than just rejecting it privately and sweeping it under the rug.

If there hasn't been any change in between, then there shouldn't be a threshold of followers you need to have in order to receive keys through curator connect.

I had a group and curator created just for fun and to try out the curator stuff.
I think at that time i had 1 follower, but i got a request via curator connect from a dev.
