Savely deletable folders and files in Steam-folder
Hi guys,
my steam Folder got quite big over time and I want to clean it up a bit, reinstalling is a problem for me, because I installed some non-Workshop mods, which will be lost duing the process right ?
So my question is, which of the folders and files in my steam folder can I savely delete without problems ?
Here is a Screenshot of my Steam-Folder: https://imgur.com/a/4NM94ON

Hope you can help me,
Lukas

None.

If you need space, uninstall games. Put the things you've downloaded into a zip or 7z file and store them somewhere else so you can unload them and reinstall them more easily later. But you can't just arbitrarily "delete" folders in steam without causing problems later on.

The better solution is to buy a 3TB drive, and put your Steam library on it alone. (mine is getting full lol, but I also have backups and my music on that one too.)

Thanks, but i am aware of these possibilities. I just saw a fresh install of the Steam(Client, not Games) from a friend and it was much cleaner and smaller than mine.
I just wanted to refresh my client installation without reinstalling it because of the mods.
A fresh install of steam would be faster than a 5+ Year old one, thats the only reason I wanted to do this.

Greetings,
Lukas

You can wipe all locally saved screenshots and Steam cloud saves from userdata folder, if you want. Or just all screenshots which all are in JPG format.

Screenshots can be found at userdata\<number id>\760\

Thanks a lot !
But I still hope for some more things to delete, maybe someone knows some more folders or files. :)

Thanks so far,
Lukas
