Steam Region
So I am in Wisconsin and my closest download region is Chicago. Am I missing something or is that really the closest. I ran test (not on steam) and in the Milwaukee region I get 10 MBPS. But through the Chicago region (Out of steam & in steam) it gives 800 kbps - 1 mbps. Is there anything I can do? This is stupid.

being geographically close doesnt necessarily correlate to speed. Certain CNDs can be overloaded. the path to those CDNs can be bad due to bad DNS entries. Bascially juts choose a download region that gives you what you want

Its good to start geographically closer, but there's nothing wrong with moving outwards if you're seeing issues

Ok I will try that. Ill let you know if it worked out. Actually, where do you think I should try first?

Honestly anywhere is fine, like I said, try closer first, then just pick randome ones

Nothing worked, I tried most of the regions and they all remained in the same area 1.1 MBPS

Speedtests are always in mb/s.

8 bits = 1 Byte

Steam defaults to MB/s.

Steam > Settings > Downloads >>> Display download rates in bits per second

Change that and let us know what your speed is.
