Steam won't open or install on my J drive.
I've been getting errors such as "failed to load SteamUI localisation file" and "Failed to load SteamUI.dll" when trying to open Steam - and when I tried to reinstall it, I recieve the following error;

"Error opening the file for writing: J:\Steam\public\steambootstrapper_brazilian.txt" and the install cannot go past this.
Steam DOES install just fine on my C drive, but this is undesirable as my C drive only has 150GB whilst both of my other hard drives, J and K, have 4TB each so I can't realistically swap over.

PS.
I've followed tips such as "Delete SteamUI.dll" and "delete the beta files in Package", but it hasn't helped yet.

EDIT; My entire damn drive has failed. This is probably the reason. I am LIVID as its not even a month old yet! I'm running a Scan and Repair and hopefully that'll sort itself out whilst I go have lunch. Ugh.

EDIT 2: Yeah, I have to replace the entire drive. Thank you for your assistance anyway.

An option could be, to install Steam on C and set the path to install games to J or K.

New drives and old drives are statistically the most likely to fail. The good thing about new drives, they're still under warranty.
