Generic USB Controller is messed up!
So I have two different generic USB controllers (Hama "Black Force" and CSL wireless for PC/PS3) and I recently started playing Rugby Challenge 3 a lot.
When I first used the controllers, either of them would work great, except that the "A" and "B" button and the "X" and "Y" button respectively where inverted.

I did not know about Steam Big Pictures at that moment, so I installed x360ce and made the controllers work fine. Then, I tried playing the game with my little brother but that is when the problems started to occur: when registering 2 controllers on x360ce the first game session went just fine, but all following sessions the 2nd controller got really messed up with the buttons being linked with the sticks and such.

Therefore I deleted x360ce and tried to play the game with just the "A" and "B" buttons inverted like in the beginning. But now on all my steam games the controllers, even with only 1 controller, are completely messed up like the second controller earlier.

I thought it might be the controllers themselves which got messed up, so I deinstalled the drivers several times and even set the PC back to an earlier date, but nothing helped.
(the buttons of the controllers do all work as they should when starting a test on windows.)

BTW, I tried Big Pictures in the meantime but here another problem occurs: Big Pictures would be a great alternative if my controller would not get registered twice, with one setting nice and one being mixed up.

So I figured, since my controllers are now messed up in all my steam games, that it has to be something with the steam settings that mess my controllers up. (I have no games that are not on steam, so I cannot tell for sure)

Is there anybody who can help me about my issue?

Thank you for trying to help me and I look forward to your answers. :)

Next to 0 games nowadays support DInput gamepads, those that you have.
The easiest solution would be to buy proper gamepads. The XBox 360 wired ones are the best when it comes to "quality for the money".

Otherwise, configure Steam's own input mapper. It's enabled by default anyway so you may jus tas well ue it. I know that it works, other people have gotten it to work (I for my part have only one DInput gamepad I'm using for the SEGA emulator (@ mods: The officially-sold-on-Steam-one, no piracy here) which supports DInput by itself).
