My game won't launch. An error occurred while updating (missing executable).

Hello. I am a Mac user that has recently bought the game 60 Parsecs.

When I installed it it said everything worked perfectly but when I launched the game and error messages popped up saying: An error occurred while updating 60 Parsecs (missing executable). I have already restarted my computer, deleted my download cache, changed download region, and uninstalled are reinstalled the game but nothing seems to work.

Can someone please help me figure this out?

Either your game files are missing your AV software is blocking some of them.

What AV software do you use?

Disable it temporarily.

After you've done that, verify your game files.

Have you verified your game files as per the instructions?

Yes. It say All files are successfully validated. What I think is the issue is that it is missing the exec file (cannot find it while searching on finder)

Because when I install the game, it automatically installs it but when I later check it just installs the "60 Parsecs!" folder but not the "60Parsecs.app", and I don't know why it isn't downloading that one.

You might want to try a reinstallation.

Repair your content folders in Steam and re-install the game.

If that fails, you could still have something else that is interfering with Steam...

Thank you very much for your help. I tried what you were saying and repairing it wasn't even an option, it was just make default or removing it. Anyways, I already requested a refund.
