Show overlay in broadcast

Hi there. By default when streaming on Steam your overlay is hidden which is great as most of the times people don't need to see what you are doing (having a control screen of your stream opened in the browser, moderating chat, whatever) but there are these very few occasions where actually you'd like to show it.

I just can't figure out how. I tried checking "Record video from all applications on this machine" in the broadcasting settings but it still doesn't show your overlay when opening it. Does any know if this is even possible?
