Can Steam see comments people left on your profile if you delete them?

Have a little kid who got banned for stalking me and he spammed my profile with the usual drivel. Already reported him for harrasment but don't want to delete the comments in case steam moderators are unable to view what he typed if I do so.

For threads and the like if a poster deletes a post in the thread then moderators and Valve staff still see it. I can't say for Steam comments on profile pages but I imagine they have something similiar.

If they have a community ban, they are unable to leave comments.

If you block them, the same applies.

You should've reported the comments.

Yes. Comments/posts are never actually deleted.

Support has the full comment/post history to see.

Block the user and show the comment. Deleting the comment again auto flags the comment for review.

You don't have to delete nor it is necessary to because it would be more evident to warrant Steam to take action if they have to.

Yeah i'd assume they can always see it, when you flag it on someone elses profile you hide and report it, but on your profile its just called delete. So figuired i'd get confirmation, and I think if deleting doesn't flag them for review we need the same option on our own profile.

We should be able to do more then just delete the comments people leave and be able to report them.

That is why they added the block for comments and posts a month or so ago. When you show that comment/post, clicking delete will auto flag it.

As i've said a few times in this thread you cannot flag for review comments left on your profile.
