NVIDIA Game Stream does not work in newest version.
Since the update, the steam app crashes any time it or a steam game are launched while connected through the nvidia gamestream service.

I did find a few posts from a month ago saying this was related to xbox controller drivers however that did not resolve the issue. I do know that it was working before I updated, updated steam last night and then it died.

Any help would be appreciated.

Try the latest beta: https://steamcommunity.com/groups/SteamClientBeta/discussions/1/864957817328247556/

You can also report a bug: https://steamcommunity.com/groups/SteamClientBeta/discussions/0/

Go to C:\Program Files (x86)\Steam\logs and check any logfiles that updated after the crash and see if you can get any useful info from there. Don't delete any logs.

Read the two articles on how to troubleshoot steam listed here: https://help.steampowered.com/en/wizard/HelpWithSteamIssue/?issueid=707
If they don't work then contact support on that link. Be sure to explain that the latest update caused it.

Thanks, I actually already tried rolling up to the beta version and still no-go. Know if it possible to roll back to an older version of the steam client?

That's not possible.
Try checking the logs and the general client troubleshooting.

Ohh well, thanks for the help! I went though the logs and while I didnt see a specific component causing the crash, I did notice an abnormally high amount of activity in the controller log, so I am wondering if it is caused by the way gamestream is emulating a controller.

I just went ahead and submitted a ticket, so thanks again for the help!

Try to go to steam>settings>controller>general controller settings and uncheck everything and see if that helps.

They were initially all unchecked when the issue came up. I tried enabling them all, and tried again after rolling back from the beta with them off, issue still persists.

Looks like its a stack overflow error, and seems like it is indeed related to the way it handles controllers. I have sent the dmp files over to support, but anyone with more experience feels like chiming in...I would appreciate it.
