Thank you but nothing in that link helps with this speciifc issue. Most of those solutions are for fixing disk write errors in general, and I'm not getting them in general. I'm only getting them when I try to install to my SSD. My other drive, the HDD, works absolutely fine.
Of the solutions which apply to my problem, I've tried clearing the download cache, reinstalling Steam and repairing the library folder. There is no change; my SSD is still the only drive which Steam refuses to download games to.
Go to the disk you want to install it on. Right click in explorer > properties > security > Users (usually bottom one) > edit (next to change permission) > scroll down and click "write" for the users > click apply. Now try.
