steam error "no internet connection" when downloading
when trying to download any game on steam i get an error telling me it either the content servers are unreachable or that there is no internet connection however i have changed my download region twice turned off my routers firewall and uninstalled and reinstalled steam. nothing has fixed the problem and i now have none of my games installed after uninstalling. Does anyone know a fix?

This started after an update last night.

I'm having the exact same issue right now and it's driving me mad. Trying all kinds of things to fix it, glad it isn't just me at least.

Can it have something to do with the cloud sync problems people (including me) are having?

I'd presume that's the likely culprit, is there any major thread with details on this?

Same here. Im a systems admin.
Ive checked router security (disabled), Windows firewall (disabled), I now see little trickles of data through to steams download servers, but im 100% convinced its on the Steam side at this point. Would be nice to see the status page have accurate info or anything input from Steam support, but i dont see any way of contacting them. Ive been troubleshooting for 2 hours now. Issue is not on our personal devices.
This all started after an update last night.
