HELP!! Steam download 10kb/s but everything else is fast. 100mb/s download speed

My steam download today has been 10kb/s. Currently I have Fios which is 100mb/s. I downloaded Hearthstone and it was done in 2 minutes which is a 4GB file. On battle net rn i get 10 megabytes per second which is my internet speed since its measured in bytes not bits. I can watch 1080p 60fps on youtube no problem.

I thought this was a steam issue i have uninstalled and re-installed steam, changed my download region to even germany and have no bandwith limit on steam and also disabled firewall but the porblem still exist. Has anyone had this issue. Only my steam download is effected, nothing else is.

I don't have the issue. Fios gigabit connection and about 100 miles from DC.

Yep. Bug Verizon to fix it quick.

I connected to a VPN and that fixed it. Getting well above 10kb/s now. At 10mb/s

its apparently been happening for a couple days now in the area. don't know when it will be fixed. in the mean time going on a vpn will fix it
