Steam recognizes my PS4 controller as a Xbox 360 controller
I use DS4Windows to use my ps4 controller on Steam.
DS4windows detect my controller as a PS4 controller.
PS4 controller support is turned on in the settings menu.

I have reinstalled Steam, DS4Windows and USB drivers on my laptop. Nothing happens

How can I use PS4 controller on pc without DS4?
Simply kill DS4Windows.exe task.
Then try rebooting steam.
Then when you're on steam go Big Picture Mode.

manager
even if its plugged in

you can just delete the folder. It is not shown in task manager
