Steam in game (cs:go) microphone settings

There are no microphone settings any more in csgo, so I cant detect my microphone (its not detecting my microphone automaticly and my mic is working in discord,teamspeak etc..) so I cant use my microphone in csgo....

It's probably not properly recognized by the computer.

First thing to do, check the plug, see if it's plugged in the right jack.
(Analog: a circle jack with headphone icon, USB: USB...?)

Assuming it's correctly plugged, open your sound settings

1. Press the windows key 2. Search for Sound 3. Click the Recording tab 4. Locate your device, set it to default if it isn't. 5. Open the device's properties 6. Check the Levels

My mic is working properly. Its just not working in csgo. My teammates saying we do not hear you we only hear ourself and game sound from your mic I think in csgo my input device setas my output device

I was told by Steam Support that the voice settings in the friends list are tied in to Valve game voice chat. The voice input and output device settings are in the settings of the Friends List.

ok i fixed the problem for me, which might help you.
1. right click on the soundbar on the bottom right of your screen
2. click on sounds
3. click on recording
4. click on microphone once to select it
5. on the bottom right click on properties
6. click on listen
7. go to the option: "playback through this device:" and change the dropdown option from "default playback device" to the headphone device you are using.

this worked for me because whatever default device csgo thought i was using was the wrong one because even with it set to default device it still worked for me on windows 10 and on other games except for csgo.
