Is installing a game and extracting a game from .RAR extension the same?
so i have downloaded an online game and it is packaged in a .RAR format and i have to extract them all to a single folder in order to play the game, but the game is not detected in my control panel > installed program

unlike steam game where they are detected, performance wise are they the same? should i worry about it? thank you!

Performance wise, irrelevant. There are dozens of other factors that will have a larger impact than if a game has a handful of registry keys.

should i worry about it? thank you!
There's nothing inherently worrisome to using a compressed file rather than an installer.
