Steam support cant attach a file to message

I am unable to attach a file to a reply on steam support.

To clarify, I can send a reply no problem but as soon as i try to put and file on the message the send button doesn't do anything.

I need to put a jpg file of my proof of purchase of a steam gift card but it wont allow me.

Please if anyone could help that would be great.

I've tried to use the web browser and it still didn't work.. i also tried on a different pc and it still didn't work.

When i asked steam support on the ticket they said that there was an issue with steam and they would fix it in 24 hours but it's been past that and i still cant send a reply with a file attached.

I think we've managed to identify the source of the problem there.

Reply to the ticket and ask if the issue is still occurring.

They will be able to clarify this.

Hey guys to continue on this topic,

I still have the problem where i cannot upload a jpg file on steam support but to test it out i tried to upload a txt file.

I am still very confused on what to do and steam hasn't responded to in over a day.

P.S. i've tried to use different web browsers and software to upload the picture but it still has the same issue

This is so funny! Two years later and I'm still having this same exact problem!

My brother got a $100 steam card that was damaged, having this same issue. At first the send button would press, then go back to normal with no indication of sending the message.
Some of my attempts after this actually gave me an error, but an unhelpful one telling me to try again later and to make sure the picture is in .JPEG format and not too large. Each one is less than 2 MB.

I don't know what's going on with steam support, but I've been trying to fix this for 4 days. Such a shame.

steam doesnt take my code, i cant attach the file, i clear my cache in steam client.... i suppose the second 20 dollar card i bought will be a complete waste too!

man i was about to f'ing lose it. both 20$ cards i bought had one character missing. i used a blowdryer to warm the adhesive as a precaution and i was extra careful peeling the sticker off. STILL one character on each card was barely visible. such a pain in the ****ing ***. to hell with these stickers, just use a credit/debit card

honestly, had i looked up how many digits there were supposed to be i wouldve gave myself less of a headache. i could have trial and errored for the final missing letter/number but still, faulty sticker. my internet sucks which is why my attached file wouldnt send to steam support, im assuming. this is what really was happening, i was just really angry acting like steam robbed me for 40 bucks haha.

Change the image format and make sure it is less than 1MB in size.
