Steam client desyncing with Steam community profile problem
I've had this problem for a good while, but very recently it started happening way more often (it almost seems like it happens every hour, I think). This issue makes it so the amount of time spent playing games shown in my community profile gets messed up and not recorded properly.

So what happens is my Steam client goes out of sync with my Steam community profile. How I know when this happens is if I go to my community profile in Steam, for a few seconds it'll look like this: https://i.imgur.com/Gt3ed7k.jpg
(notice the top right of the page where you see "Install Steam", "login", etc.)
Then after those few seconds it'll quickly refresh and go to how it should be: https://i.imgur.com/6Cbv5wx.jpg
(again, look at the upper right)
Or lets say I decide to go to the activity section after it goes out of sync, I'll see this for a moment: https://i.imgur.com/wCrOIF8.jpg
Then after that moment, I get taken to the activity section.
It does a similar thing if I open up the store page after the desync, for a quick moment it looks like I'm not logged in, but then it logs me in.

For now, my fix is to open up my Steam community profile, activity section or Steam store site right before closing a game, so that my time played gets properly recorded to my community profile. However, if I close a game without resyncing it, then it doesn't get properly recorded. From what I can tell, if I play a game for an hour, but the desync happens after a half of an hour, then only the first 30 minutes get recorded while the last 30 minutes get lost.

Its nothing to do with my internet connection, I have a stable internet connection and would know if it goes down even for a quick moment. My Steam friends list continues working fine even when the desync happens, I can still message friends and so on. I don't think its my anti-virus (Avast), because even when I shut down all my anti-virus stuff it still happens.

And even just right now when trying to post this thread, I got shown a message saying "error when trying to make this thread, 21" or something in red. So I had to resync once again to be able to post this thread.

Maybe try "clear download cache" or it's server steam issue, or client.

Haven't found a fix. However, after doing some testing, I realized that I'm not losing playtime even if I don't resync, so maybe that was fixed a while ago.

my issue was due to bad internet connection (ISP). Some parasite, noise (attenuation dB) on the line. My problem is solve.

That's because the process to sync play-time doesn't depend on this.
